Potential water management strategies identified for 2011 South Central Texas Regional Water Plan

Region L has identified potentially feasible water management strategies to meet projected needs, initiated technical evaluation of these water management strategies, and will be considering them for recommendation in the 2011 Regional Water Plan. The water management strategies are based on information in the 2006 Regional Water Plan and current information received from Water User Groups and wholesale water providers.

For each Water User Group in the region, projected water supplies/demands and shortages have been calculated to the year 2060.

The list includes projected water needs and existing sources of supply. If the projected water need for a Water User Group is shown as zero at a decadal point in the table, this indicates that the existing supply is adequate to meet projected water demands at that decadal point.
